PRODUCT FAQ

What does cold-pressed mean, and why is it important?

Cold-pressed refers to fruits, vegetables, and herbs that have been hydraulically pressed to extract the juice, as opposed to other methods such as centrifugal or single auger. We use a two-stage hydraulic press (the first stage masticates the juice into a fine pulp, and the second stage extracts the juice from the pulp), this method leaves behind a very small amount of extremely dry pulp. It is not only the best way to extract the maximum amount of nutrients from the produce, but it is also far less wasteful than using any other juicer. In some cases, it is even less wasteful than eating the fruits and vegetables whole, as sometimes our bodies don't have the ability to break down our foods as they should (due to low enzymes in the digestive system). Fresh, raw juice is easily digestible, allowing the nutrients to be readily absorbed into the bloodstream.

Why organic?

Anything other than organic would be a chemical cocktail. Pesticides, fungicides and herbicides, while great for keeping bugs away, have been proven to be detrimental to human health. Organic food is more nutrient-dense and tastes better.

Why is our product premium?

The cost of organic produce and ingredients can be upwards of 50% higher than conventional. However, we believe in providing the very best product to our community. We also use glass bottles and recycled and biodegradable packaging which is more costly to produce, but lessens the impact on the environment and is better for human health.

Why would I want to juice cleanse?

Juice cleansing can be a great solution for anyone who wants to reset their digestive system and palate, or simply give the body a chance to heal and rest. Juice cleansing, combined with eating a primarily whole foods diet and a moderate amount of physical activity can work wonders for your health.

Is juice cleansing for everyone?

A 1-3 day juice cleanse is highly beneficial for most people, however, if you have any health concerns please speak to your health-care practitioner.

Doesn't juice contain too much sugar?

The way our bodies respond to refined sugar is much different than the naturally occurring sugars found in fruits. Fruit contains many vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients our bodies thrive on. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables has been proven to lower your risk for disease. Raw fruit juice assimilates into your bodies cells quickly and efficiently, supplying them with the nutrients the body needs for vitality.

Why not eat the fruits and vegetables whole?

Eating whole foods (especially fruits and vegetables) is essential for optimal fiber intake which acts as a broom for the digestive system. However, getting all of our required daily intake of fruits and vegetables is tough! Juicing helps because it is so convenient. While juicing eliminates the insoluble fiber from the produce, the soluble fiber remains. When you remove the insoluble fiber and are left with the fluid part of the fruits and vegetables, it allows easier assimilation and absorption of the vitamins, minerals and other important phytonutrients across the digestive tract. Juicing is a fast-track way to get the nutrients your body needs to thrive.

How long do your juices last?

As we are freshly cold-pressing the juices 2x/week, the juices are not pasteurized to allow you access to the most vital nutrients you can get!

We recommend consuming our juices within 5 days. If you are unable to consume your juice within 5 days, we recommend freezing your juice in a freezer-safe container, not in our glass bottles as they will shatter in the freezer.

Our lemon-aids last 10 days.

We date every juice, mylk and lemon-aid on the bottom, so take a peek!

Are all of your treats Organic, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free and Refined Sugar-Free?

Yes! We take pride in offering all organic, gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free treats! Our treats are also raw meaning nutrients remain in tact! We strive to make our treats tasty and functional so our bodies can also benefit from the ingredients when having a snack!
